Kathleen Hogan, who has served as Microsoft’s Chief People Officer for 11 years and is widely credited with reshaping the company’s culture under CEO Satya Nadella, will leave the company at the end of the quarter. Microsoft announced that her successor has not yet been named. Hogan is expected to join a venture capital firm focused on workforce technology.
Her departure marks the end of an era for Microsoft HR. Hogan was instrumental in the shift away from the company’s controversial stack-ranking performance system and toward the “growth mindset” culture Nadella has championed.
