BlackRock’s tokenized money market fund BUIDL, issued on-chain by Securitize, crossed 2.5 billion dollars in assets under management in early 2026, becoming the largest institutional-grade tokenized fund on public blockchains. On February 11, 2026, BUIDL became available for trading through UniswapX technology, marking the first time a BlackRock fund product was accessible through decentralized exchange infrastructure.

The fund, launched in March 2024, offers qualified investors exposure to US dollar yields through tokenized Treasury bills with daily dividend payouts and 24/7 peer-to-peer transfers. OKX subsequently added BUIDL to its collateral framework with Standard Chartered, allowing institutional clients to use their fund holdings as trading margin while assets remain held off-exchange with the bank.

Binance followed by accepting BUIDL as collateral for trading, expanding the fund’s utility beyond passive yield into active market participation. BlackRock also announced BUIDL’s expansion to the BNB Chain, adding a seventh blockchain to its multi-chain distribution strategy.

The tokenized real-world asset market now exceeds 30 billion dollars globally, with a BCG and Ripple report projecting growth to 18.9 trillion dollars by 2033. BlackRock’s continued investment in tokenized fund infrastructure signals that the world’s largest asset manager views on-chain distribution as a permanent channel, not an experiment.
