Adyen announced on July 1, 2026 that it has completed the acquisitions of Talon. One, a promotion and loyalty engine, and Orb, a usage-based billing platform. These represent the company’s first two acquisitions in its 20-year history, signaling a strategic expansion from payment processing into the broader revenue infrastructure stack.

Alongside the closings, Adyen appointed Gayathri Rajan as Chief Product Officer, effective immediately. Rajan previously served as Adyen’s global head of product and brings more than 25 years of experience from roles at Google, DriveWealth, and Vanguard. Separately, Senior Vice President of Group Finance Hwa Tsao will become interim CFO effective September 1, following the departure of CFO Ethan Tandowsky at the end of August.

The acquisitions extend Adyen’s platform beyond transaction processing. Talon. One enables merchants to run complex promotional campaigns and loyalty programs that integrate with payment data. Orb provides metered billing infrastructure used by AI and SaaS companies charging based on usage rather than flat subscriptions. Together, they allow Adyen to capture value across the entire revenue lifecycle rather than solely at the point of payment.

The leadership transition arrives as Adyen prepares to report H1 2026 results on August 13. The company’s Q1 2026 update showed net revenue of 620.8 million euros, up 20 percent on a constant-currency basis, with processed volume reaching 382 billion euros. Unified Commerce net revenue grew 28 percent in constant currency, outpacing the digital segment and confirming Adyen’s physical retail expansion as a meaningful growth vector.
